Maryland Day tributes
In March 1634, two English ships -- the Ark and the Dove -- sailed up the Chesapeake Bay, and landed at St. Clement's Island. The adventurers aboard established the colony of Maryland. Celebrate Maryland's birthday, March 25, at St. Clement's Island Museum. Other events are planned for March 25-27 in Historic St. Mary's City (site of the first settlement) and Four Rivers Heritage Area (Anne Arundel County), including a Taste of Four Rivers cookbook project. |
